Axe knows he's an adrenaline junkie but finds it easier to celebrate it instead of fighting it. That's not to say it doesn't take a toll on his life. He knows he should just appreciate the life he has but has to somehow accommodate his lust for chaos.
The tattooed biker builds his best chopper to date, the Gripper, and rides it to Daytona Beach for Biketoberfest. As soon as he gets back home, he's on to his next event as he hits 167 mph on his latest crotch rocket at the Texas Mile.
These aren't enough to quench Axe's thirst for adrenaline, and he begins planning to break the cross-country motorcycle record. The task completely consumes him with logistics, organization, and bike modifications, including a spare fuel tank and thermal vision system.
After months of preparation, including a brutally honest look inside himself at the beach one morning, the speed demon is focused on what has to be done. He begins his journey at Dog Beach in San Diego and launches the blast across the country. As the miles accumulate, so do challenges with refueling, bike gear, technology, and mind. Eventually, his spent body arrives in the sand of Jacksonville Beach.
Axe accomplishes exactly what he set out to do with pure will and determination, but nature commands cruel balance, and addicts never get the fairy tale ending as blatantly demonstrated in this truly wild ride.
