PictureStray Cat, Stripper, and Ripper at Y Chrome Customs LLC
By the time Axe had owned the "General", a '77 Shovelhead for 10 years, he decided to build his first chopper, the "Predator", in his garage in San Antonio, Texas. Y Chrome Customs was born as a play on the y-chromosome that makes a guy a guy just like chrome, freedom, and the thunder of a V-twin.

Axe moved to Jacksonville, FL and opened YCC full time, turning out the "Hardass" in 30 days flat and driving it to Bike Week 2004 in Daytona Beach. After building more bikes over the years in Florida, Axe was faced with open heart surgery in 2008. The notes he took on surgery, recovery, and learning to make the most of life became the basis for his first book, "Bouncing off Guardrails" released in 2010.

The "Ape", an Aprilia Mille, was Axe's first sport bike. He immediately painted the gawdy yellow bike in flat black with skeleton parts and a red underbelly. Later graduating to a 2010 BMW S1000RR, Axe modified and rode the two wheeled missile from San Diego to Jax Beach, sand to sand, in 33 hours and 10 minutes in April of 2014, shattering the previous record for the fastest motorcycle ride across America.

The research and planning for the ride became the foundation for the YCC patent pending human performance process, "Mitigation of Marginal Areas of Performance Plan." This adrenaline packed adventure is colorfully described in Axe's second book, "No Limits-No Regrets" released in 2015.

Video taken during the preparation and execution of that cross-country record has been edited into the high-octane adventure "No Limits-No Regrets" full length documentary movie released in 2020. The movie also features an all original soundtrack with words, music, guitar, and vocals by Axe himself.
